Our team offers a broad range of construction phase inspection and quality control services for mechanical, electrical, and structural disciplines. A competent and thorough inspection is an important element in completing a quality construction project. These services require not only technical expertise and knowledge of the materials and procedures to be used, but also prudent judgment, and excellent communication skills to coordinate the designer’s and contractor’s efforts to achieve the intended final product. Our team uses a FARO laser scanner to create 3D drawings of existing structures or process equipment which we then create additions or modifications to as per our Client’s requirements. In addition, the Field Services team prepares SPCC Plans to USEPA standards and facility environmental compliance plans such as the New Jersey DPCC plan (Discharge Prevention, Containment and Countermeasure Plan). Our Field Services team can also perform Steel Tank Institute inspections of above-ground tanks in accordance with STI specification SP001.
3D Laser Digital Scanning
Utilizing the latest 3D scanning technology enables the outfield services group to quickly capture precision measurements of complex systems including piping and valving systems, building exteriors, and interiors. This technology allows our team to gather data and produce accurate as-built plans, details, and models as determined necessary for each particular project. These as-built plans can be prepared for the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) for use by our team when tasked with upgrading a complicated existing system.
Drone Aerial Photography
Utilizing Drone technology allows our team to access areas which in the past may not have been accessible to our experienced designers and technicians. Drone technology also allows our team to inspect potentially dangerous areas where emissions or other hazards could normally hamper a person’s ability to inspect equipment or structures.
STI Tank Inspections
Our team is certified to perform STI-SP001 tank inspections in order to verify the condition of existing tanks them make recommendations to our clients on the expected life span and/or adequacy of existing tanks.
Site Assessments
Our team of experienced designers and engineers has extensive experience in preparing Environmental Site Assessment Reports for the purposes of identifying existing or potential environmental contamination liabilities. These analyses are often required in areas subject to scrutiny by the Environmental Protection Agency. They are often required by the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) or by our clients who, as developers, may want to understand the potentially toxic history of a property of interest.
Inspection Services
Our field inspection group is managed and led by Robert DePasquale who has 25 + years as a facility and maintenance manager for a major fueling services facility in the northeastern United States. Robert has been involved with numerous capital improvement projects and is thoroughly versed in state and local design codes. Robert and his group have a long history of acting as the eyes and ears for our team while in the field. Our inspection services provide our clients with not only a sense of security that the project is being monitored to assure a satisfactory outcome, but also to provide a safety net to catch missteps before they are allowed to become costly or dangerous.
